Hi there, my name is Ashley Clum, a woman with a heart for God, the country and slow old fashioned living. I have a dream of living on a several acre property with large gardens, fruit trees, chickens, and maybe even a cow or two. But for now I am cultivating that lifestyle in the suburban Denver, Colorado area.

As a wife, mother of three, homeschool teacher, gardener and homemaker, my life is a vibrant tapestry woven from the threads of love, learning, and nurturing. Each role I embrace contributes to a fulfilling and purposeful existence, where I prioritize God our creator and the well-being and growth of my family.

Homeschooling

Homeschooling allows me to tailor education to my children’s unique needs with a focus on Biblical truths, fostering a love for learning in a nurturing environment.

Gardening

My passion for gardening not only provides fresh, healthy food for our table but also teaches valuable lessons about patience, responsibility, and the beauty of nature.

Hunting

Hunting complements gardening as an effective method of providing organic and nutritious food for my family. While gardening allows for the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, hunting offers a source of the most organic lean protein through wild game. This dual approach enhances our attempt at a natural lifestyle, ensuring a diverse diet rich in essential nutrients.

By engaging in both practices we can foster a holistic lifestyle, reduce reliance on inflated store bought processed foods, and ensure that our food is free from chemicals and additives. Furthermore, hunting promotes an understanding of God’s design, local ecosystems and wildlife, while also encouraging family bonding during outdoor activities. Together, gardening and hunting create a lifestyle that nourishes my family spiritually and physically.

In managing our home, I strive to create a warm and inviting space that reflects our family values and encourages creativity and connection. Through these intertwined roles, I find joy in cultivating a life that balances education, sustainability, and love, all while cherishing the moments that make our family unique.

In an increasingly interconnected world, I have made a conscious decision to pursue a more natural lifestyle. This journey is driven by a desire to reduce my dependence on external systems and cultivate a sense of independence and resilience. By embracing practices such as growing and hunting my own food, learning essential skills, and minimizing waste, I aim to create a home and life that are both sustainable and fulfilling. This commitment to self-sufficiency is not only about practical skills; it also fosters a deeper connection to my environment and a greater appreciation for the resources I use. As I navigate this path, I hope to inspire others to explore their own journey toward a natural healthy lifestyle, emphasizing the joys and rewards that come from taking control of one’s life and choices.
